Mother's Day Social at The Seed Coffee House, Fort Lauderdale

The Seed Coffee House in Fort Lauderdale hosted a Mother's Day Social on May 7, 2026, a fundraising and networking evening for about 50 guests. An author and celebrity philanthropist headlined, and the room was dressed in pink from top to bottom, with pink flowers and pink tapestries draped over the furniture and fixtures.

The crowd was almost entirely women, and the tone was fun, feminine, and a little quirky, down to the fast-food cheeseburgers served alongside the drinks.

One artist sketched for three and a half hours in the Runway style and completed 42 portraits at 5x7 inches. The illustrations were a hit, and several guests asked about bringing the same thing to their own events.
