Birthday Celebration at Amelia Social Lounge, Austin

Amelia Social Lounge hosted a birthday celebration on June 27, 2026, and live fashion sketching was part of the evening. One artist worked the party for four hours and finished 45 portraits, one for every guest in the room.

The lounge had a speakeasy feel that night, with moody lighting, full floral arrangements, personalized photos of the guest of honor, and balloon lighting that changed the whole room. A DJ kept the music going and passed hors d'oeuvres made the rounds while friends caught up. Everyone had dressed up for the glamorous theme.

The sketching stayed out of the way of the party. Our host took a quick photo of each guest, about twenty seconds, then sent them back to the celebration. The artist drew from the photo, and when the sketch was ready the guest got a text and picked it up at the table, signed and in a protective sleeve.
